As usual the day starts of with a thumb rule race. Avoidable. Still, if you feel like taking a chance I suggest you take an each way chance on Raja's Pet. The horse has really come down in handicap. There is another reason to my saying so as I do not know if you have noticed this or not that whenever trainer Warren Singh has a horse on job there will be track work before the run. Check out the work of Raja's Pet.
I feel that for Ice Cutter the race is over bar the shouting. However, the odds will be so cramped and they should be that it will not be possible to wager a bet on it.
Another thumb rule race. Avoidable. However, I feel that the race would not go beyond Bel Espirit, Secret Touch and Gagan Star. My personal choice of the three would be Gagan Star, for the simple reason that if not for a brilliant ride given by the ever so brilliant rider Suraj Narredu on Well Known, Gagan Star would have been a winner last run itself and would be running with a penalty today.
You will have to ignore the last run of Regal Boast, as it looked apparent that trainer Padmanabhan wanted to pull a fast one on the racing public by trying and winning with the lesser fancied stablemate (off course it had come down from 10/1 to 7/1) Artorius. I do not know if you have noticed that Regal Boast with jockey A Sandesh if not the best definitely the second best jockey in the country after Suraj Narredu astride, when travelling well along the rails about two lengths adrift of the stablemate Artorious, suddenly decides to shift out from the rails to wide outside for no apparent reason, as there was absolutely no need to do so, except for giving the stablemate a widening lead. Regal Boast I feel must have lost at least 4 to 5 lengths for that action and finally lost. Make it your best bet of the day.
Wind Tunnel and Novel Approach should fight i out.
Wind Wonder met one better in Light of Success last time. I feel it should not loose today.
Cirque De Soleil after loosing to Zultanite last time out by half a length is running on 2.5 Kgs better terms. More than that, Zultanite is to be the ridden by the same rider Anjar Alam. Cirque De Soleil was ridden by Trevor, who I feel is a very ordinary rider and who cannot win a fighting race in his life time on his own abilities and capabilities. He is a kind of a rider who can win a horse by one length if the horse is superior to the field by at leasd 5 lengths. Today Cirque De Soleil is being ridden by Louis-Phillipe Beuzelin, who I read in the net (courtesy Google) that, though still an apprentice, is going to be the next Frank Dettori and Lester Piggot rolled into one. Hence, I intend to make Cirque De Soleil a good bet.
Cannes won its carrer third run under Suraj Narredu. Its fourth and last run was ridden by Srinath and the winner was ridden by Suraj Narredu (trained by Amit Caddy). So I feel it is obvious that it might not be a serious effort. I feel it might win, but I will not recommend it as a betting proposition.
I will be frank with you. It is almost midnight and I am in no mood to go through the last race. Make your own choice please. I am feeling tired and sleepy. If I can I will make an addendum tommorow.
My bets for the day:
Ice Cutter for win
Regal Boast for win
Wind Tunnel for win
Cirque De soleil for win
