I am sorry due to me being busy in some other matter today i will not discuss todays card in detail. However, I suggest you bet these five horses. I am listing them in order of their merit and winning chances. Back, To The Manor Born in the seventh race as your best bet. Titeleist in the fifth race as your next besr bet. Cream of The Crop in the Sixth race should be the next best bet. Tell Me More in the second race should be your fourth best bet and finally Express in the fourth race although gave a very bad run last time but as a change of equipment is evident should be backed today as it is bred to be a sprinter of the highest class.

KOLKOTTA RACES 31.08.2013
Baskerville is still well ahead of the handicapper and its last win was achieved with so much of ease that the statutory ten points penalty for the last win should not pose any problem in achieving an encore. Tough One may follow it home.
1.BASKERVILLE 2. Tough One
A thumb rule race better to avoid.
Charlemagne and Glutius Maximus will fight it out and inspite of being ridden by jockey V Jaiswal I feel Charlemagne will pull it off.
1. CHARLAMAGNE 2. Glutius Maximus
Amarilla in its last run lost a fighting race to Parasmani who has won two races in the just concluded Bangalore season. Having said that I still am a little doubtful about the fitness of Amarilla and feel that this race should be avoided.
Red Passion has won its last race in a 40-65 category and has come down from 60 to a rating of 42 and with the allowance claimed will run in a effective rating of 34. It has had two good mock races and I was very much impressed with its first mock race and I feel should be backed tommorrow Isle of Capri and Songstress may fight it out for the minor placings.
1.RED PASSION 2. Isle of Capri 3. Songstress
Dandified I think again is over bar the shouting
Sheriff, Abarth, Chalaque, Dancing Dame, Akilina may fight it out and I personally am unable to decide as of now. Make ur pick from these.
Beyond stars, Abubble and Al Attaturk are the prime contenders here. And, I personally will go for Beyond Stars purely for the reason that P S Chouhan is the best rider og the three.
Conquest who is a three year old in this mediocre bunch of runners should prevail from Burst of Stardust and Grand Design.
1. CONQUEST 2. Grand design 3. Burst of Stardust

Mysore Races 30.08.2013 addendum
I am sorry I forgot to comment on the last race.
Arc angels win in race number 70 was too good and as this race is confined to horses of Mysore only should not miss today and can be backed with confidence
Best bet of the day: ARC ANGEL
Second best bet: BERHAM
Third best bet: SMOOTH GLIDER.

Mysore Races 30.08.2013
Today trainer Z Darashah will be presenting a cup instituted in the memory of his late father Safi Darashah. He has only one runner during the day that is Behram in the first race. Behram in the last 10 months has been cleverly brought down from a rating of 61 to 35 and with a allowance claiming jockey in the saddle will run effectively at a rating of 27. Out of the six victories of Behram the last three were in the higher category that is 40-65. The horse has been tracking well too and I think Mr Darashah will want to take home the cup for sentimental reasons.
1.BEHRAM 2. Too Cold To Hold 3. Royal Prodigy
Lovely Lady is cut above this bunch and should not find it difficult here. Triumphant may follow. Sunday Cruz if a jobber will definitely place. It is at a rating of 43 and can run in the lower category of 20-45 also. But, the jockey choice indicates might be a jobber.
1. LOVELY LADY 2. Sunday Cruz 3. Triumphant
Flying Tricolour, Cielo Signore, Alcazaar and Divine deliverance look to be the main contenders here and I am unable to decide among these. Make your pick.
Keukenhof is another who looks best in this set and should be followed by Azure fireand Mr Carpe.
1. KEUKENHOF 2. Azure Fire 3. Mr. Carpe
Immense and Bold Police should fight it out and I personally like Immense.
1. Immense 2. Bold Police 3. Sovetskaya
Talisker basically is not a sprinter. Absolute Majority has gone up in handicap. Hence, I do not like these two market fancies here. As I had mentioned in my earlier posts the handicap of horses belonging to trainer Sharat Kumar does not come down very easily. Smooth Glider is one horse of this stable which has come down well. In August 2012 the horse has won at a rating of 81 in Mysore beating Cape ferrat. It had gone up tp 90 and now has come down to 68 and with an allowance claiming jockey will effectively run at 64 a neat drop of 17 points from its last win. As far as the form is concerned in the seven starts in the recently concluded Bangalore season it has placed a close fifth 2.75 lengths behind the winner in the first start and [laced a close third 1.75 lengths behind the winner in the second start.
1. Smooth Glider 2. Talisker 3. Absolute Majority
Looks to be quite an open race with Indian royalty, Royal Surprise, Hard To Pin Down, Sumitomo and Potomac being the contenders here. Make your pick from these.

Mysore Races 29.08.2013
Cinch is well bred but looks to be under prepared. Also, when Trevor has been retained by Vijay Mallya jockey Ryan Marshall riding raises a question mark. But, I feel betting any other horse against Cinch might be fraught with risk , so, better avoid this race.
Firelight, Vrajnandan and Bella Pinky look to be the main contenders here. And I feel that the sheer riding class of Suraj Narredu should make Firelight the better horse amongst the three.
1 FIRELIGHT 2. Bella Pinky 3. Vrajnandan
Bandito, Union Jack and Point Taken should fight it out. The change in stables, I, feel may bring luck to Point Taken and it may prevail over the other two.
1. Point Taken 2. Bandito 3. Union Jack
Happiness is at a very tidy mark and can spring a surprise here. It has won its last start at a rating of 38 and today runs at 41 and with a allowance claiming jockey astride effectively runs at a rating of 37.The other horses in contention are All for Cash and Delta Delight.
1. Happiness 2. All For Cash 3. Delta Delight
Charlatan looks to be cut above the rest and being a final entry for this race should not find difficult in tackling this lot and can easily be made the best bet for the day.
1. CHARLATTAN 2. Ace Bucephaluus 3. Supreme Regime
Radical Attraction, Sussex Down, Apple Jack and Sandstorm are the main contenders here. The winner will be among these four only and I am unable to decide who it will be.
Meghalaya after winning its maiden race won again in a 20-45 category race. It ran third five times in the higher class once only a length behind the winner in the last Mysore season. Now, on demotion should not find it difficult and will win and can be made as a good bet.
1. MEGHALAYA 2. Fantastic Strike 3. Persian
Although Kolaveri Di is very well bred and has been tracking well it has not made any impression in its three starts so far. A thumb rule race I feel should be avoidede.
Best bet of the day: CHARLATTAN
Second best bet: MEGHALAYA
Third best bet: FIRE LIGHT

Mysore Races 22.08.2013
A thumb rule race. But. I feel that Golden Time a well bred who is working well and Shining Fame might fight it out.
1. Golden Time 2. Shining Fame 3. Mountain Train
Teri Adah who is a half sister to Daring Dynamite and Miyars princess (both are rated about 80) should run well though it is the first run of its life. Cruise Clear on sheer riding of Suraj may follow.
1. Teri Adah 2. Cruise Cllear
Talita's Girl started galloping when the fate if the race was decided last time. I think it can be backed as a good thing tomorrow.
1.TALITA'S GIRL 2.Cowboy Cal 3. Wind Tunnel
Evraz, Scorching Vulcan and Spinning Chakram may fight it out.
Spaniard and Rising Rainbow will fight it out. I personally think that Spaniard a bangalore based horse has run in better company should prevail.
1.SPANIARD 2. Rising Rainbow
Sun Divine, Thoughts and Actions, Wind of Soul and Lad's Ability look to be the main contenders here. I personally think that either Wind of Soul or Lad's Ability might end up as the winner here.
1. Wind of soul 2. Lad's Ability 3. Sun Divine
I have seen many f aux pas of handicapping but this takes the cake.On july 11 2013 in Mysore in race number 66 Sky High and Sand Dune ran together. Sky High won the race by 1.5 lengths and Sand Dune came second. Sky High who was rated at 63 after winning that race today again runs at a rating of 63, whereas, Sand Dune who was rated at 45 has been penalised 4 points for the second place and today runs at 49. Sky High was ridden by M D Paswan and today with Srinath astride I feel should not loose and Sand Dune will only follow.
1. SKY HIGH 2. Sand Dune
Although The Alchemist looks good on paper but has not performed as expected twice earlier and may win.
1. Golden Time 2. Shining Fame 3. Mountain Train

Kolkotta Races 21.08.2013
A thumb rule race better to avoid.
Roman Centurion is still far ahead of the handicapper. It has won a 1200 m race which is undoubtedly sharp for it. It has been penalised only nine points for that win. I cant visualise Roman Centurion getting beat today inspite of the stable jockey not being present.
1. ROMAN CENTURION 2.Classical Romance
You may find the reason funny but I would go for Snowdrift for the simple reason that it is its fiirst start whereas the other horses had their runs and not performed. Snowdrift is a half brother to Snowscape and is tracking well too.
1. SNOWDRIFT 2.significant
Gallop to Glory's last run was inexplicable. I do not fancy any horse here.
Anassa, Hurricane Star and Amika are the main contenders here. I personally like Anassa who should win fom Huricane Star who was handled very feebly by Sk Israil last time.
. Anassa 2. Hurricane Star
Silverina and Su Chaliyo should fight it out. But, remember trainer Bharat Singh has been sent out for a year for drug abuse of Silverina I think.
Rocket Ball though a known middle distance runner won a sprint the first start of this season that too with the great I Khan astride. In its next outing it ran last with the same jockey and he was suspended for sitting motionless throughout the race. Trainer David has also been fined for the running of Spur of the Moment and has been severely warned for the future running of his animals. I think I will have a good bet on Rocket Ball today.
1.ROCKET BALL Awesome Indian.

Pune Races 18.08.2013
Romantic Beauty should find it easy to tackle the other three runners.
1. ROMANTIC BEAUTY
Falco Nero and Applaicha should fight it out here. I personally would go for Falco Nero
1. Falco Nero 2. Applaicha
If apprentice S Mosin is able to handle Astapi then I dont see it getting beat by this bunch of ordinary runners. Commander though has a Derby win to its credit but it looks like a flash in the pan to me, because Supreme Star the horse it beat narrowly on that occasion has not done anything much neither has Commander. On the other hand horses like Tintinabulation and An Acquired Taste who finished far behind have turned out to be champions.
1.Astapi
Rio on its last brilliant win looks a ready winner to me. La Travieta and Remember me may fight it out for the minor placings.
1. RIO 2. La Travietta 3. Remember Me
Jeremiah the race looks over bar the shouting.
Ace Angel Fire and Ainra look to be the main contenders here and I personally feel that Ace Angel Fire may have a slight edge over Ainra.
1. Ace Angel Fire 2. Ainra
Fontanelle, Forest vision and Wasabi look to be the main contenders here. Out of these three I personally like Fontanelle as it has finished very strongly from fourth positin to second in the last hundred meters.
1. Fontanelle 2. Forest Vision 3. Wasabi
Thumb Rule Race with a very ordinary bunch of horses participating. Better avoid.
The race should be between Starring and Desert Wings. Make your pick from the two.

Kolkotta Races 17.08.2013
There was so much of rain day before yesyerday night in Bangalore, that I thought the extra days races might not go through. Hence, I did not comment on them for which I am sorry.
Grey Meteor, Piaffe and Sreeyantra look to be in with a chance of winning. I personally like Sreeyantra. The joker in the pack is Shamsunder, and , if a jobber will make things difficult for everybody else.
1. Sreeyantra 2. Piaffe 3. Grey Meteor Upset Shamsunder
Sheriff is running in the right distance with a strong rider in the saddle. I think it should win today. Devil in Disguise and Bold Desire might fight it out for the minor placing.
1 Sheriff 2. Devil in Disguise 3. Bold Desire
I like Xavier here, but, the old man Afzal Khan does not inspire any confidence. But, come to think of it, except B Sreekanth (who also is in the leading bracket because of the retainer by the man himself MAM) all are mediocre jockeys. So I feel a little bullish about Xavier.
1. Xavier 2. Iconic 3. Secret Gloss
Andreus though was whipped but still finishing a neck or head behind a 108 rated (River Star) takes some effort. Today, in the race the highest rated animal is Beyond Stars (63) a six year old. Hence, I feel that Andreus which is running its third start of its career should win.
1. Andreus 2. Kwan Yin 3. Beyond Stars
Adabella and Chala Ja Bachha both have the benefit of a run and a winning effort at that. They should fight it out and my personal vote goes to Chala Ja Bachha.
1. Chala Ja Bachha 2. Adabella 3. Captain Courageous
Dandified I think the race is over bar the shouting.
1. Dandified 2. River Blitz
Signor Sassi has won well so too had Petaloid. But I would go for Abroath as it ran a forward race last time and has been brought in handicap.
1. Abroth 2. Signor Sassi 3. Snow Ball upset Petaloid.

Pune Races 15.08.2013
Eye of the Storm and Adam's Prince should fight it out.
Bombardier has run a very impressive mock race. Ultrasonic after winning a race very impressively in Bangalore had a very disappointing run in the juvenile million race where it finished last. The winner will be from these two only. Make your choice.
Mountbatten after running off the board in its first start has won 3 of its next 5 runs. The last victory was very authentic and I dont see the horse getting beat today.
Zoravar, Gates of Heaven and Invincible should be the contenders here. I personally, liked the mock of Invincible and would go for it.
Archimedes ran a very impressive third to stablemate Protector of Paris and has had a good mock race. Ghanghor has some good runs at Mumbai and has been tracking well. Shishya who also has been tracking well and is the daughter of Market Guru who has won 4 times in USA. Make your choice out of these three runners.
Zambesi has the benefit of a run and Oxbridge has the benefit of a mock race. These two should fight it out in the main event of the day.
An open race with Brindavan, Negredo, Arusha and Three Roses look to be in with a chance. I personally like Brindavan.
Again a very open race with Destined to Glory, Gararo, King Julien and Queen's Kiss look to be the main contenders here.
Best bet of the day: MOUNTBATTEN
Second best bet: BRINDAVAN
Third best bet: INVINCIBLE

Hyderabad Races 15.08.2013
Indian Epic and Al Sarraah should fight it out and I personally would go for Al Sarrah, though there is not enough track work to support my decision. But, Hyderabad races are like this. Al Sarrah has beaten Indian Epic once carrying 1.5 kgs more.
Alastor who is bred for speed after winning a 1100 m race was made to run in a 1600 m race where it placed fourth. It has been working really well and should win here.
Golden Arrow won well last time whereas Golden Phantom who won with blinkers and had 3 very ordinary runs after that is now running without blinkers. Hence, I would go for Golden Arrow.
A very ordinary and open race wherein I don't have any specific preferences.
If Da Xia is a jobber here I dont think it will get beat. make your own guess.
A huge gamble failed on Super Duper in Sep 2012 last as it was running after a lay off of one year. Today it is running after a gap of 9 months. I would go for Ocean Side.
Rahul's Diamond's last run is inexplicable. Keeping in mind its bloodlines and the tarck work after that I definitely will give it another chance.
Dream Deal has had a very good mock race. Drum Beat after a long lay off of ten months ran a very decent race and almost pulled it off. Make your choice between the two.
Best bet of the day: ALASTOR
Second best bet: GOLDEN ARROW
Third best bet: RAHUL'S DIAMOND

A thumb rule race. Apyrous ran a cracker of a race on the first day, the opening race of the season and has been working well since. Silken Senorita had a slipped saddle last time. Ijlal had his jockey suspended in the last run for not following the instructions of the trainer. Then there is Sartaj who if a jobber will floor them all.
Should be a straight fight between Blue Lightning and Carnival Point, while the former running for the first time has had the benefit of a mock race and the latter has had the benefit of a run and with jockey P S Chouhan donning the silks will go all out. Both the animals are well bred. Make your pick.
Promises to Keep is being ridden by jockey I Khan. It certainly does not inspire confidence. But just look at the mock race it had on 06.08.2013. A real outstanding run. It just cannot loose on the basis of that mock race. It could have won that mock race. Best part is it was ridden by I khan himself in the mock race. Add to it that the mock race was with blinkers and the horse is running with blinkers for the first time. If we go to its past performance on October 28 2012 it ran second to Bold Desire by a length and the field was 7.5 lengths behind. Bold Desire was rated 24 and Promises to Keep was at 21. Bold Desire went on to win another race at 35 and yet another at 44. compared to that Promises to Keep is rated at 11 today. My advice is to take a chance on Promises to Keep tomorrow else do not back any horse against it in the race.
Haddock ran in the Colts Trial Stakes on Sep 8 2012 and finished ahead of two horses which were rated much higher and was penalized 9 rating points for that run and ran 5 times in the higher class and has not finished more than 2.75 lengths behind the winner four times. Today it is running on demotion has a good chance. Zoffany's last run the Owners and the trainer have given a written complaint against the jockey asking for an enquiry to the way it was ridden. Surprisingly, the rider reported that his horse was momentarily inconvenienced as the starting gate rebounded which is a fact. I used the word surprisingly because he could have done that immediately but chose to do that after the all clear signal was given. SURPRISING indeed. It clearly shows the intentions of the jockey. Grand Design was rated 67 when it arrived at Kolkotta and has cleverly brought down to 37. Remember that it has won a race at 49 rating and placed second to Angel Crown at a rating of 61. Make your pick out of these three.I would choose Grand Design.
An avoidable race wherein 4 of the seven runners look to be in with a chance of winning.
Another race where picking a winner is tricky. With five out of the seven runners look to be in with a chance of winning.
Exxin, Awesome Indian and Royal Saga should fight it out. Awesome Indian after a good mock race this season had a run but the saddle slipped in its run and it finished off the board. Lets not forget that it has won a race in Kolkotta at a rating of 75 and it is rated at 42 today. Exxin has also won at 54 and today running at 44. Royal Saga who has last won at 50 is running at 37 today. The running of the race and a little bit of luck will decide the winner.

Hyderabad Races 12.08.2013
Baazigar is cut above the rest. Will not loose.
Kintyre Princess and Tejaswini will fight it out, and, I personally will go for Kintyre Princess although I am aware of the fact that Tejaswini was backed very heavily last time before being withdrawn as it had dropped the rider and bolted while on its way to the starting gates.
An avoidable race. Though Sheer Genius looks to be the form horse and will also be most likely the favorite to win, somehow, I feel it is better to avoid this race.
Galiat and Kohinoor Thunder will fight it out. Though Galiat has beaten Kohinoor Thunder at level weights by 11 lengths on Feb 1 last winter, the lack of a run and the benefit of a run, sometimes is enough to turn the tables.
P S Chouhan in the saddle does not inspire confidence in me as this jockey has ridden this horse 5 times earlier in the same class and failed to deliver. Star Striker and Sheikh's Emperor, I think should fight it out and I personally feel that Sheikh's Emperor will win from Star Striker.
An open race with Cascading Glory, Komo Komo Komo, Arriviste and Sabreen Princess look to be the main contenders. I personally will go for Cascading Glory.
Maths Professor is cut above the rest and should not loose.
Best bet of the day: BAAZIGAR
Second best bet: MATHS PROFESSOR
Third best bet: SHEIKH'S EMPEROR

HYDERABAD RACES11.08.2013
Kallu Mama will run at real cramped odds but will not loose.
Here again, Laguna Beach will also run at cramped odds but might loose too.
Shades of Victory and Enigma should fight it out and I personally will go for Shades of Vicrtory.
Fastest Finger is another cramped odds horse but will win.
Kohinoor Supreme, Power Planet and Gold Medal are the main contenders. But, I personally feel that in the face of tremendous initial speed possessed by Kohinoor Supreme the other horses might find difficult to match strides.
Generally it is observed during Hyderabad Monsoon season that horses summered during Bangalore Summer season dont loose. Dancing in the Rain is a horse which had a very impressive win at Bangalore and should not loose here.
On the basis of its sheer brilliant mock race Hidden Power should win here.
Best bet of the day: DANCING IN THE RAIN
Second best bet: HIDDEN POWER
Third best bet: KOHINOOR SUPREME

Pune Races 11.08.2013
Thumb rule race and better to be avoided.
Supreme Star has run and competed well with better horses well. May win, but, somehow I dont feel much bullish about it and I feel the race should be avoided.
Another confusing and avoidable race of maiden three years olds.
Celsius, Free Verse, Titeleist, Be Cool and Blush seem to be the main contenders here. But the race seems to be in the safe keeping of trainer N lagad. Titeleist (45) when it won last Pune season has beaten Royal Honour(44) squarely and Royal Honour after shifting to Kolkotta has won a 60-85 race and is rated at 74 and Titeleist is at 38. I dont think Titeleist is going to get beat today but a little hedge bet has to be placed on Blush too.
Senora Bella and Moon Shadow should fight it out. However, I , personally would go for Senor Bella as it has won twice
Dancing Prances,Celtic King, Marinsky, Dynamo and Hawker look to be in with a chance of winning this Grade II trophy. Going strictly by rating Marinsky is the one to beta as it is best placed in weights.. But, its rating is 67 today because of its runs at Bangalore. It was rated at 59 in Western India. Hence, I personally feel that Dancing Prances is better and will win today.
Amazing Desire was class apart when winning in its last run. Although Hawaiian Princess is also a good horse and has been unbeaten in its last three starts, I personally feel that Amazing Desire should win and rather easily at that.
Another thumb rule race. But, I want to make an exception here after watching the last run of Sea Pearl in the hands of T R Shaik. As it is being ridden by a regular jockey in P Trevor, I feel should win here.
Best bet of the day: AMAZING DESIRE
Second best bet: DANCING PRANCES
Third best bet:TITELEIST

Bangalore Races 09.08.2013
An out and out thumb rule race wherin any horse can win. Better avoid.
I do not know whether you have noticed or not that more often than not jockey Suraj Narredu goes soft on his mount when a Irfan Ghatala trained horse comes alongside. This is what I feel has happned to Moneyball in its last run when The Scientist came alongside. Hence, I feel that Moneyball will win today and should be backed.
Another thumb rule race, but, here I want to make an exception. The way President's Rule covered ground in the last 100 m was commendable. At the bend there was a difference of just 1/2 length between the winner and Presidents Rule, but, superior riding skills saw Wind Tunnel putting a gap of 4 lengths in the next 200 m which was finally reduced to about a length at the wire. If you pay attention to the commentator you will observe that he comments that " Wind Tunnel is going to win from the fast finishing Potomac then comes Presidents Rule and Autumn Red " but Potomac could finish only third a length behind Presidents Rule. Hence, I am going to bet on Presidents Rule today.
This is a race where no allowance can be claimed. Ace Lexington ran such a peach of a race last time in its first maiden start but has been entrusted to an apprentice, otherwise, it would have been a betting proposition.
Loveofmylife won so well, but, surprisingly there is a change in equipment taht too "Blinkers on". Still it is my first choice. Perfect Soul also has been working well and may go close.
I select Super Storm over others for the following reasons. i) It is the only 4 year old in the field. ii) All said and done it has won the richest race in the country that is The Indian Derby.
Smithsonite, after a long lay off has won both its starts quite well and it becomes the first choice to win this race. The only danger I see is Mister India who before coming to Bangalore has won 5 times out of seven starts and placed second twice in Delhi.
Looks to be an open affair with Royal Rein, Noble Reward, Adriphos and Peter Parker seem to be the main contenders here. However, I personally will make a bet on Peter Parker as it has run a forward race last time and is running with about 10 kgs of advantage when compared to Royal Rein.
Better Than Ever was rated three points below Smithsonite in its last run and ran a good second. Today Smithsonite is rated at 69 and has a very good chance of winning and Better Than Ever is at 36 a good 33 points less a difference of 15 kgs. I am going to make Better Than Ever my best bet of the day.
Best Bet of the day: BETTER THAN EVER
Second best: PRESIDENTS RULE
Third best:: PETER PARKER

Bangalore Races 08.08.2013 an Afterthought
What I have observed for the last two years is that the horses of trainer Sharat Kumar are not brought down even after running off the board so many times. secondly, you will rarely find the horses of Sharat Kumar in the track trials. Now, here is a horse of the said trainer which has definitely come down in the handicap. Another Voice has won its last race at a rating of 41 and went upto 52 and after 27 runs has come down to a rating of 24 and surprisingly you find two gate practices of the horse. Trainer Sharat Kumar and company are known to back heavily and if the odds on the horse do come down before the race it can be backed as a good thing.
Bangalore Races 08.08.2013
A race to avoid. However, Mystere, Youre Chilubuli and Jewel Lady seem to be the main contenders here.
Wind Force after running a 2000 m race (which was beyond his compass as i had written in my post of 02.08.2013) 6 days back is running so soon that too with the champion jockey in the saddle, I feel should not loose. The last run was very very poor and questionable. Whatever may be the reasons for that run it is sure that the jockey was not responsible otherwise he woudnt be riding for the same trainer today.
Feet on Fire and Placervilles Glory should fight it out and only with some luck you may pick the right one.
Ayrton, Super Start and salzburg are the main contenders here and I personally would go for Salzburg
Thumb rule race better to avoid. Valahak with the allowance claimed will be at a very tidy mark and may pull it off too.
King of the Court definitely needed the run last time which was its maiden run. I think it should be the days best bet.
Again a thumb rule race better to avoid.
The last run of Saratoga Spring was very impressive wherein it finished fifth only a length behind the winner, and , also the point to be noted here is that the stable apparently looked as if was with the other stablemate Strive and Serve. Today, with Suraj Nareedu to guide its fortunes it should bring the beacon home, provided all goes well as this horse is known to be a bleeder at times.
Best bet for the day: KING OF THE COURT
Second best bet: WIND FORCE
Third best bet: SARATOGA SPRING

Kolkotta Races 06.08.2013
Roman Centurian has won its last race at a rating of 48 and has come down to a rating of 14, and with the stable first jockey B Sreekanth to guide it should not loose.
Rithambra, Songstress and Afrah may fight it out and the running of the race and a little bit of luck will decide the winner.
A very ordinary bunch of runners where anything may happen. Avoid.
Another avoidable race, but Significant with the benefit of a run may win.
Our Chieftain is cut above the rest.
Ocean Legacy and Wild Card have run a 1000 m on the same day that is on 16.07.2013. Although, Wild Card is better in the timing and also getting a weight advantage, I still feel that Ocean Legacy will win for 2 reasons. First, Ocean Legacy ran its race in pouring rain with visibility being very poor and the second is that the race was won by its stablemate.
Spur of the Moment and Always Welcome may fight it out and my personal choice is the latter because of the age factor.
Best bet of the day: OUR CHIEFTAIN
Second best bet: ROMAN CENTURION
Third best bet: ALWAYS WELCOME

Hyderabad Races 05.08.2013
An open race with Fair abd Square, Squanderers Square, Golden Zele, Graceland and Whats Up look to be in with a chance. Better avoid.
Racing Ahead won so well on Bangalore that a defeat looks impossible. Moreover, the handicapper has been very kind with Racing Ahead. It was rated at 54 after its last run by the Bangalore handicapper, but now runs at 50, hence it is eligible to run in this race. Compare it with Golden Phantom (46 at Bangalore and 45 in Hyderabad) and Sherman Oaks(44 in Bangalore and 44 in Hyderabad) and you will know what i am talking about.
Its Bitsy after two seconds may win today.
Magical Spell and Palm Springs shoud fight it out with my personal choice being Magical Spell.
All The Fun ran a cracker of a race last time in a sprint. Now running in a distance which is more suitable should win.
Kohinoor Wish, Vijays Conquer and Proof are the main contenders here. And I choose Proof for the following reasons. When Proof was withdrawn in race number 293 last winter it was set to carry 1.5 Kgs more than Vijays Conquer and today it is carrying 4.5 Kgs less a total difference of 6 kgs. In race number 234 last winter won by Kohinoors Wish the diff in weights was 2.5 kgs and today it is 9 kgs that is an advantage of 6.5 kgs. Moreover, Proof was ridden by NS Parmar who rode very feebly and lost by 1.75 lengths. Finally, Kohinoor Wish and Proof have given a mockrace each on the same day that is 26.07.2013 and the mock of Proof was definitely better.Proof today being ridden by PS Chouhan should win.
It will be a straight fight between Cofidential and Rocking Racer. Make your pick.
The Best Man and Hard Hit should fight it out and my vote goes to The Best Man as the horses from trainer Satish's stable look very fit.
Best bet of the Day:Racing Ahead
Second best bet: Magical Spell

Kolkotta Races 03.08.2013
Strauss who is a demotee and Adoringly may fight it out and my personal choice is Strauss.
Iron Lady looks good here.
Smooth as Silk, if seriously tried will win. The reason I say this is because generally horses of Arti Doctor fail when they are the favourites and oblige when they are at longer odds and this trend I am observing for at least 5 years now in Kolkotta.
Ocean Fairy and Double Doo may fight it out. My personal choice being Double Doo mainly because it is a 3 year old. But the points against Double doo are (1) It is a Bharat Singh horse temporarily lodged with RV Gowli (2) The breed does not inspire much confidence.
Trainer Manvendra Singh is also training the horses of Mr D Khaitan, hence, I do not know wether Crown Rule will be a serious jobber or not, as the choice of the jockey also indicates might not be a jobber. Hence, I feel that Dandified should win.
We are running out of time hence I cant comment on the last race. Sorry for that.

Pune Races 03.08.2013
Hot Ice had a cut injury in its last run, but, its earlier run that is in race number 331 on April 14 2013 it was very impressive in spite of a bad start, a slipped saddle and a whipless apprentice in the saddle. This is a horse to be backed for all the three pools.
Mykonos in its maiden run was travelling well behind Baroness and was very severely interferred with the stumbling and fall of Baroness still it finished 5 lengths behind To The Manor Born (who won again during the present Bangalore season). Cosider the fact that it was being ridden by jockey Shelar. Mykonos has had a good mock race too. I feel Mykonos will not get beat.
Nothing much of a race but I personally feel Papakura might win.
Erotic Flame, Three Roses and Mahiki are the main contenders here and my personal choice is Three Roses.
A race to ignore and avoid, but, still if i had to choose I would choose Armel as it is bred to sprint.
Silver Streak's win last week was very impressive. Edith Piaf is also well bred with 2 wins out of three starts. Protector of Paris left the field standing in its last run, but the choice of the jockey is very baffling to say the least. If i HAVE to choose it will be Protector of Paris followed by Edith Piaf and Silver Streak.
Domingo has run a a very impressive mock race and is half brother to Maple Star a classic winner of MAM a 117 rated animal. Domingo I feel should not get beat.
Emerald Fortune and Crowned princess should fight it out. Make your pick.
Trump Card's win was so impressive rthat I dont think it will get beat tomorrow
Best bet of the day:.MYKONOS
Second best bet: DOMINGO
Third best: TRUMP CARD

Bangalore Races 02.08.2013
Mountain Train has run 17 times in its career. The first six runs were with trainer A. Manglorkar with the best effort being second to Gorgeous Gold (two and a quarter lengths behind). Its next ten runs were with trainer Loknath with the best effort being fifth to Well Known (5 lengths behind). The 17th run after being shifted to trainer S Narredu was the best effort finishing 3/4 lengths behind the winner where in I feel the jockey has ridden an injudicious race taking an undue long leaad. Further the horse , in its last run continued with the equipment viz Blk and BB used by the earlier trainer that is Loknath. Trainer S Narredu has had a change in equipment today that is Blk and BB are off and Hanging Bit is on. Let us not forget that Mountain Train has such a strong lineage in its bloodlines being the daughter of Academic who has produced top horses including a Sprinters Invitation Cup winner. This horse should not get beat tomorrow.
Ancient Warrior and Vigorous are well bred for speed. Ancient Warrior has better runs to its credit, though, Vigorous had a forward run last time out.
A race to better avoid, though Igah Igah Igah looks to be the best of the lot.
Ancient Wonder and Speed Six should fight it out and the winner should emerge from these two. Running of the race and luck may decide. Make your pick.
Cheque Discounter is well bred, being a half sister to Diamond Zip (four wins) and ST Catz (3 wins from 7 starts and running in the highest class in Mumbai). Cheque Discounter in its short career of 10 starts has won twice. Its last win was on Jan 12 2013 in race number 140 in the same class when it was rated at 39 and it beat Real Steel ( who has won a 40-65 race this season as a 62 rated animal and is presently rated at 75).The race was well fought with both the jockeys going hell for leather but Cheque Discounter prevailed. It was penalized 13 points and was rated at 52. It ran 4 times in the higher class and now runs on demotion in a 20-45 race. With a good latest spurt under its belt Cheque Discounter should be able to tackle this lot.
I think by default i will vote for Wind Force as a winner as all the other runners look hopelessly out of form. The reason I say by default is because none of the pro genies of Zeta Jones have ever won a 2000 m race except India Jones that too in the lowest class in a Small field.
A very open race with Fire Storm. Volt, Balance of Nature, London Eye, Tic Tac Toe and Shahran being the contenders. My vote goes to Shahran as I feel the jockey has lost the race last time out. Better Than Ever who beat Shahran has placed second to Smithsonite in the higher class. I feel Shahran should not get beat tomorrow.
Best bet of the day: CHEQUE DISCOUNTE
Second best bet: SHAHRAN
Third best bet: MOUNTAIN TRAIN
