Although the day starts off with a thumb rule race, I feel that we can have a good bet in this race. Iron Lady out of its seven career starts was on the board the last five times and has finished a creditable second on two occasions, both times I feel a better effort in the saddle might have turned the tables. Today with the leading jockey of the country A Sandesh in the saddle I feel it will not loose.
Snow Ball after winning two races in western India migrated to Kolkotta at a rating of 50 and won a race at a rating of 48 (a 40-66 category race) and was penalised 13 points for that win and had gone up to 61 rating points. The horse has been very cleverly brought down in handicap and is today rated at 46 and is running in the lower class and is being entrusted to Ps Chouhan I feel should not loose.
In the Twilight and Petaloid may fight it out.
Royal Scots is running on demotion. It has won in the same class with Sandesh in the saddle who is back on it again. Noble and Nice had a very good and impressive mock race. I feel that one of the two will win here.
Double Do looks cut above this opposition and I feel should not find it difficult to win here.
Valerosa won well last time. Modus Vivendi after migrating to kolkotta from western India has had two good mock races. I feel that these two should fight it out.
Arktouros, Berlusconi and Snowscape should fight for honours here.
The most confusing race of the day. The reason for my saying this is if you watch the mock race held on 23.11.2013 the commentrator says that Treasure Island has finished second and in the print media also it is reported as such. But if you watch the mock race it is very clear that the horse finishing second is donning the colors of Mr. Deepak Khaitan and in the race today the horse is in the colors of Dr. MAM Ramaswamy. Treasure Island is the best bred and had a very good mock but is not being ridden by the stables first jockey. Pretty Woman had a good win and is carrying a penalty for that. Then you have Marilyn who is also well bred and had a mock race and is entrusted to the stables first jockey.
Scuderia looks the best of the lot and should not loose.
My bets for the day:
Iron Lady for win
Snow Ball for win
Double Do for win
Scuderia for win
